OUTPUTS: (max error 1%) Current: 500W max - pin 10-9 (current outgoing from pin 10). Version 1: 4÷20mA; Version 2: 0÷20mA Voltage: 0-10Vdc, -pin 8-9 (+on pin 8) Load higher than 10kW VISUALIZATIONS ON GREEN LED: supply on. INSULATION Model with AC supply: galvanic separation it is given by the supply transformer STEP RESPONSE (10÷90%) For the model A and B: 250 msec. For the model D the response time is 5 sec for all the ranges except: 5,5 sec for the range 9-90 puls/min 6 sec for the range 6-60 puls/min 7 sec for the range 3-30 puls/min (without capacitors - see remark 2) INSTALLATION: see fig. 2. (Wiring to an electrical board with a differential relay and a sectionalizing switch). The length of every wiring must be less than 30m. PROGRAMMING The device operates on the pulses per min, not on the revolutions per minute. REMIND: PULSES/min. = RPMxPULSES/REVOLUTIONS The number of pulses per revolution corresponds to the “teeth” and “voids” of a wheel (see fig.3 e 4). The pulses frequency is measured in Hz (pulses per second), and consequently the PULSES per minute = Hz x 60. Ex.: 100Hz correspond to 6000 pulses/min. The device can be set for the ranges listed in TAB.A. The full scale of the range selected is considered as 100% of the input signal. Ex.: by activating the dip-switch n.4, the device is set for the full scale 6000 pulses/min (=100% of the input signal); by the dip-switch n.3 + n.4 the device is set for the full scale 9000 pulses/min etc. etc. The intermediate frequency values of input signal will generate intermediate values of output signals: Ex.: in correspondence of 3000 imp/min (or 4500) the outputs are: 5Vdc (for 0- 10Vdc), 10mA (for 0-20mA), 12mA (for 4-20mA). The minimum scale value corresponds to 10% of the full scale: For the mentioned example of 6000 pulse/min the minimum range is 6000:20 = 600 imp/min. The activation of these capacitors reduces the “ripple” of the output signal (in particular when there are few pulses per minute), but it also reduces the device response time. The operator will decide about the convenience to activate them. REMARK 1: It replaces CS 03 changing wirings on undecal female base for DIN. FUNCTION The device receives a train of pulses from a sensor (inductive, optical, capacitive, NPN, PNP or NAMUR) (fig.3-4) and measures its frequency. Fig.1 shows the relation between the input frequency and the outputs. USE The device controls the frequency of an external sensor. The models A and B have no restrictions as to the ratio full/void of the square wave, since it just requires a pulse of 20msec.(micro seconds). The model D must receive a signal having a ratio full/void close to 50%
