The AMX3/12M safety switch is a stand-alone contactless coded sensor designed for monitoring the position of doors and movable guards on hazardous machines. It ensures secure operation by utilizing electronic technology and relays. This device is rated IP68 for water resistance, with additional IP69K protection due to its PA6 and INOX316L materials, making it ideal for use in harsh environments.
Without an external controller, it meets Category 3 PL=d according to ISO 13849-1. However, when combined with an AWAX controller, its performance increases to Category 4 PL=e. Additionally, the switch complies with SIL 2 standards under IEC 61508, ensuring high safety levels.
Designed for flush mounting, the device can be concealed behind 6 mm aluminum or stainless steel panels. It provides direct control of hazardous movement via a normally open (NO) safety contact and a normally closed (NC) auxiliary contact.
